Service Management Automation in Telecommunication Operator's Network with the Use of Modeling Tools

Decreasing profit margins on providing standard telecommunication services are forcing operators to expand their offer by including new services delivered by telecommunication network, data center and external entities. Operators must at the same time aim to improve the quality of services already provided. On the other hand, the introduction of new services while striving to reduce the cost of investment causes network operators to innovate with more and more new types of equipment and systems supplied by different manufacturers, often operating based on different technologies. Service management (activation, deactivation and modification of parameters) based entirely on engineers’ resources as well as internally generated scripts and programs, may lead to errors, delays, and even network failures. In such situations, it may be necessary to invest in a tool that automates the process of service management.
